Schiller named EVP of
Manitowoc Crane Care
Manitowoc
Cranes has
named Ingo
Schiller executive
vice president
of Manitowoc
Crane Care. Schiller will take
on the new role in addition
to his current responsibilities
as senior vice president of
global marketing and product
development, on an interim
basis. Schiller will report
directly to Eric Etchart,
president and general manager
of Manitowoc Cranes.
Etchart said Schiller’s
knowledge of Manitowoc’s
products and its customer base
made him the perfect choice.
“Over the past three or four
years, Ingo has immersed
himself in the Manitowoc
product line and developed a
strong understanding of our
customers’ needs, and that
naturally extends to how best
to support them,” he said.
Schiller joined Manitowoc
in 2008. Prior to his role as
SVP of global marketing
and product development,
Schiller was SVP of sales and
marketing for Manitowoc
Cranes Americas. He has
a long career in the crane
industry including many years
at Liebherr, where he served
as EVP of sales for Liebherr
Americas. He will continue
to be based at Manitowoc’s
facility in Shady Grove, PA,
but will travel extensively,
Manitowoc said.

HIGHLIGHTS
Hollister joins Sims
Mark Hollister has been named senior vice
president of business development at Tampa-
based Sims Crane & Equipment. Hollister has
more than 35 years of experience in crane and
construction sales, management and operations.
He previously was senior vice president of Sales
and Marketing at Norco LLC.
“Mark has a proven track record of training and
motivating sales teams in our industry, and we are confident he will
bring his enthusiasm and successful strategies to our organization,”
said Dean Sims II, vice president of marketing for Sims Crane.
Hollister holds a B.A. in marketing from Drake University.
In memoriam: Brock Settlemier
Brock Settlemier, 79, former
owner, president and CEO of
Bigge Crane and Rigging, San
Leandro, CA, passed away
peacefully in his home on
August 1, surrounded by his
family.
Settlemier attended the
University of California at
Berkeley, where he was a
member of Beta Theta Pi
fraternity, stroked Freshman
Crew, and played two years
of varsity rugby (winning
two national championships)
before graduating with a B.S.
in Business Administration in
1956.
In 1957, he married his
college sweetheart, Marlene
Bigge. After two years in the
U.S. Army, Settlemier joined
Bigge Crane and Rigging
in 1958. He purchased the
company in 1980. During 40
years at Bigge, he grew the
company into a worldwide
player in nuclear power
construction, heavy crane
rental, power generation
and heavy lift rigging.
Bigge also won numerous
SC&RA Rigging Job of
the Year awards. In 2003,
Settlemier received SC&RA’s
most prestigious honor, the
Golden Achievement Award,
for outstanding lifetime
accomplishments. In addition
to SC&RA, he was active in the
Crane Owners Association,
the Beavers and the Associated
General Contractors of
America.
He completed 68 marathons,
winning the 1st Escape from
Alcatraz Triathlon as a senior
at age 46. He was a lifetime
member of the Society of
California Pioneers, an avid
golfer, skier and woodworker.
