TheM 130 offers 10 to 14 bar with free air delivery from 9.4
to 12 m³/min. The unit is equipped with a 23 kVA generator
and is capable of delivering both direct and alternating current.
In addition to chassis-mounted models with a run-on brake
and height-adjustable or fixed tow-bar, Kaeser also offers
stationary versions.
Atlas Copco launched its Tier 4 Final XAS 185 portable air
compressor earlier this year.The unit is a single axle, oil-injected
rotary screw compressor that delivers 185CFM (5.4m

/minute)
at 100 psi (6.9 bar) operating pressure. The XAS 185 Tier 4
Final model is powered by either a 49 hp (37 kW) Kubota or
Caterpillar engine.
Fittedwith a stepless, fully automaticunloader valve and speed
regulator, the XAS 185Tier 4 Final constantly varies the engine
speed according to the air demand, reducing fuel consumption
and emissions.
Cleanerpowerwill continue tobe thedriver forportablepower
development pushing into 2015 as emission standards become
more stringent, and contractors and developers focus on their
carbon footprint.

nginemanufacturer Briggs&Stratton has acquired producer of towable lighting
towers, industrial heaters and solar LED arrow boards AllmandBros in aUS$62million
cash deal. Founded in 1938 and based inNebraska, US, AllmandBros generates
annual revenues of aroundUS$80million.
Briggs&Stratton said the deal allowed it to diversify into highermargin, higher growth
industries, and gave it access to new distribution channels, including the rental sector.
“This acquisition helps us to further our strategic initiative of focusing on attractive higher
margin, commercial end use products,” said Todd Teske, chairman, president andCEO of
US-basedBriggs&Stratton.
Meanwhile, Allmand chairmanRoger Allmand said the deal would providemore
opportunities for the company and its customers.
“With a proven track record of operating successfully for over 100 years, we believe that
Briggs&Strattonwill be able to accelerate our presence globally,” he said.
Briggs&Stratton produces petrol engines for outdoor power equipment. It also produces
portable generators, pressurewashers, and lawn and turf care products through its
subsidiaries Simplicity, Snapper, SnapperPro Ferris, Murray, Branco and Victa.
