Elliott Equipment Company worked in
partnership with Custom Truck Equipment to
develop the new AWP. Glazer said, “Custom
Truck’s many years of experience working with
the largest utility and electrical contractors
helped us put substantial amounts of end-user
feedback into the design of this machine. We
feel confident that this new model will be an
industry leader for many years to come.”
Compact debut
Terex AWP had plans to show its newly
redesigned, compact GTH-5519 telehandler,
and while the company did have a GTH-5519
on display, it wasn’t the new one.The new
telehandler was, instead, stuck in customs.

about the number of
changes made to the GTH-5519.
The GTH-5519’s specs have changed and
its overall length reduced by 5 inches.The
telehandler’s wheelbase has expanded by 2
inches and the turning radius has decreased
by 3 inches.The overall weight has increased

The Deutz TD 2.9 L4 Tier 4 final engine
replaces the Deutz D 2011 L4 Tier 4 interim
engine.The engine is designed in such a way
that it does not require a diesel particulate
filter, only a diesel oxidation catalyst muffler,
Terex AWP said.The power of the new
engine is 55.4 kW (74 HP) at 2600 rpm
compared to 50 kW (67 HP) at 2600 rpm of
the original.
