ACCESS, LIFT & HANDLERS
In other words, Brand Energy & Infrastructure
Services is now the largest scaffolder in North
America.
With that, the top five companies on the S
20
represent a total of $3.25 billion; nearly 90
percent of the total scaffold market that
ALH
has data on. The biggest number to jump out,
however, is PCI Scaffold Concepts’ (number
seven on our list) substantial increase in scaffold
revenue. The company saw a 128.5 percent
increase in revenues, jumping from last year’s
$21 million to $48 million.
Mike Thompson, manager at PCI Scaffold
Concepts, says the growth was due to adding
and purchasing additional locations and larger
projects.
Overall, with the construction markets – both
residential and commercial – climbing back up,
next year’s S
20
should reflect further growth as
the industry rebounds.

our number three place-holder, Harsco
Infrastructure. For those familiar with the United
Rentals/RSC acquisition a few years back –
which propelled United even further ahead of all
competitors – this is of similar scope.
The new, combined company will operate
under the name Brand Energy & Infrastructure
Services and will be a single-source provider
of multi-craft industrial services, forming and
shoring and total access solutions to the global
energy and infrastructure sectors. Harsco
received cash proceeds of approximately $300
million from the transaction and an approximate
29 percent equity interest in the joint venture.
