TVH acquires assets of EPW
TVH has acquired the assets of
Fresno, CA-based supplier of
parts and supplies for aerial lifts
Equipment Parts Wholesale (EPW).
EPW will serve as a sales
division of TVH and will
continue to focus on the aerial
lift equipment market and the
equipment rental industry under
the EPW name.
“There was an opportunity
to acquire the assets of EPW
which aligns with the strategy
of our company to increase our
product selection to include other
industrial equipment segments,”
said Dirk von Holt, TVH vice
president.
EPW was founded in 2001
and has a wealth of product
knowledge and industry
experience which TVH said
would be combined to enhance
service and product availability to
customers of both companies.
“We welcome the support that
TVH can bring to our efforts to
provide a full range of products
and ensure a reliable supply in
well-located distribution points
throughout North America,” said
Brian MacFarland, EPW’s general
manager.

United launches online training
United Rentals has launched a
new online training center – United
Academy – as a hub for safety
training and operator certification.
Accessible in English, French and
Spanish, the address for the site is

United said the United Academy
encompassed a wide range of
courses related to jobsite safety
and compliance, including
operator certifications for aerial
and excavation equipment,
OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour
classes, confined space entry and
competent person training, and
train-the-trainer certification.
Additionally, it said the site
facilitated training management
tools for employees and employers,
as well as account benefits.
It said classroom training could
be performed at customer locations
or at a United locations in the U.S.
and Canada. It said select courses
