Global market
outlook video
Visit the
Video Zone for our
latest presentation on the state of the global
construction market.
T
he latest video in the
Video Zone features
iC
editor
Chris Sleight discussing the state of the global construction market.
The presentation looks at economic conditions around the world as
well as forecasts for the construction industry.
A global overview is followed by more detailed analysis of key regions
including Europe, North America, Latin America, developing Asia and other
emerging markets.
Although the current market outlook is strong –
iC
estimates global
construction output will grow by around +4.5% this year, compared to GDP
growth of just +3.3% – and next year should see further growth, there remain
some areas of weakness. Construction output in Europe is still falling, and
despite robust growth in other parts of the world, the industry is not likely to
return to the boom conditions of the 2000’s in the foreseeable future.
The video can be found in

’s podcasts,
is also available for free through the iTunes store.
