TOPIC: Characteristics of successful rental companies

 

 

Alexandre Saubot is Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Haulotte Group, one of the largest aerial platform manufacturers in the world. Haulotte operates globally, including a manufacturing facility in Changzhou, China.

 

Mr Saubot joined Haulotte’s management team in 2000, initially focusing on finance, before taking up his current post in 2004.

 

Haulotte’s sales in 2015 reached almost €460 million, and its product range includes self-propelled booms, scissors lifts, vertical mast units and telehandlers. It also owns rental businesses with annual revenues of €25 million.

 

In addition to his role at Haulotte, Mr Saubot is President of UIMM, the employers‘ organisation in the metal working sector in France that represents the interests of 42,000 companies.

 

Before joining Haulotte he worked as a civil servant for the French government, including the Council of State, Ministry of Defence and the Treasury. After that we worked at the investment bank Natixis for two years. He is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique.
