Lone Star Transportation,
based in FortWorth, TX.
Terms of the deal were not
revealed.With themerger,

Rozell Industries has
acquired Lewis Crane Service,
based in Queensbury, NY.
Lewis Crane has been in New
York for more than 31 years,
providing cranes, backhoes
and other heavy equipment
for industrial, commercial
and private projects. Brian
Rozell said, “Lewis Crane
Service is an ideal addition
to Rozell Industries.We are
very
excited to bring such a
talented crew to our expert
team.”

NewShuttlelift for
Westmor Industries
Westmor Industries has taken delivery of a newShuttlelift SL 50II
rubber tiredmobile gantry crane.Westmor, a subsidiary of Superior
Industries, is a fuelling equipment and services provider.
The newSL 50II is the company’s first Shuttlelift. It has been
put towork at the company’s tank division inMorris,MN. It was
purchased as an alternative to renting a crane. JasonCook,
Westmor productionmanager, said that the return on investment
was sixmonths.
Liebherr gives
160 EC-B a facelift
Liebherrhas launched anew
versionof its 160EC-B flat
top tower crane. Thenew172
EC-B8Litronic flat top crane
has increased lifting capacity
by15percent compared to
thepreviousmodel and it has
a simpler erectionprocess,
themanufacturer said. The
newmodel has amaximum
capacityof 8 tons and can
hoist 2.1 tons at the jibhead
with a radius of 60meters. In
addition, it offers free standing
hookheights of up to71.4
meters.
Thenew erection concept
means that the loadhook and
trolley remainon the jibpivot
sectionduring transport, a
spokesperson said. Thehoist
and trolley travelling ropes
can alsobe reeved easily and
it has improvedquick-release
fastenings on the cab and
switchboardplatform, the
manufacturer said. Inaddition,
it has quick-release electrical
connections to ensure that
the switchboard and cab can
be connectedquicklywithout
any errors, according to the
manufacturer.
Themodel comeswith a
Liebherr 37kW frequency
converter-drivenhoist gear.
A45kW frequency converter
hoist gear is also available. The
craneoffershookheights of up
to328meters and emptyhook
speeds of up to177metersper
minute. It alsohas theLitronic
crane controller.
