industrywill gather in Paris later this
month for the Intermat exhibition.
Here is the late-breaking news on
some of the newmachineswhichwill
be launched.

ntermat starts in just a few weeks, on Monday April 20,
and will run for six days until Saturday April 25. Organiser
Comexposium expects some 200,000 visitors at the event
in Paris-Nord Villepinte, and there will be more than 1,300
exhibitors present from37 countries.
With 375,000 m

of exhibition space and a further
30,000 m

of outdoor demonstration areas, that makes it the
largest construction equipment event to be held anywhere in the
world this year, despite a fewnotable absentees from the exhibitor
list.
Still, it will see the launch of hundreds of newmachines and
otherproducts for theglobal construction industry.Akeydriver is
the introductionof equipmentwith low emission engines tomeet
the current Stage IV/Tier 4 Final laws, but manymanufacturers
will be using Intermat tobranch out into entirely new areas.
Still verymuchunderwraps, isHidromek’s first ever articulated
wheeled loader. However, the company says the machine will
make is global debut at Intermat.Details released todate are that
the loader comes with a 4m

bucket as standard, is fittedwith a
240hp (180 kW) engine andhas a 24 tonne operatingweight.
Sunwardwill exhibit updated versions of its1.7 tonne SWE17B
and 2.0 tonne SWE20Bmini excavators at Intermat, alongwith
the re-worked SWE40U short tailswing model. Also on show
will brand new machines at the lighter end of the spectrum,
such as the 800 kg SWE08B, 1 tonne SWE10UB and 2.5 tonne
SWE25U zero tailswingmodel.
The company will also show the new 1.8 tonne SWE18UE
excavator, which is an electric battery-poweredmachine offering
zero emissions.
Other machines on show will include skid steer loaders, and
models fromSunward’s foundations equipment range.
Moba will feature its Xsite range of 2D and 3D excavator
control systems at the show. These add-on units feature a large
touch screen and the 2D version can be upgraded to the 3D
version at any time through the addition ofGPSdata.
