The final newproduct will be a tilting coupler that combines
Geith’s couplerwithHelac’s PowerTilt, suitable for carriers from
6 to 25 tonnes. The operator can safely
change attachments from the cab, and can
increase productivity thanks to the tilting
feature up to 180°. Less repositioning
of the excavator is required when the
machine is equipped with such a tool.
Thecouplerprovidesbotha front and rear
safety locking mechanism to secure both
attachment pins, and a powerful spring
activated safety lock system works in all
types of severe environments.
MontabertwilluseIntermatto introduce
anewmulti-purposehydraulicdrifter, the
HC95.TheHC95 LA has been designed
to replace another drifter already installed
on a drilling rig to optimise performance,
while the HC95 LM has been designed
for underground drilling operations,
with hammering together with hydraulic
reverse percussion is included as standard.
It is also available as the LC95 LQ for
quarryingwork.

bring its Blue Line breakers formally
Hydraulic truck-mounted crane manufacturer Atlas will have
two new models at Intermat. The AK 440.2 has a three-fold
extension and a 1 tonne capacity at itsmaximum reach of 22m.
The slewing gear with twin rack and pinion systemmeans it has
a large slewing torque and on-the-spot slewing movements, the
manufacturer said.
Alsonew fromAtlas is the206.3,which comes in variants from
A2 andA8. Its safeworking load is 450kg at itsmaximum reach
of just less than21m.
Kobelco’s crawler crane line-up for the show will include its
G-seriesmodels,which feature a fullyhydraulicoperating system
for powering the joysticks.The company says this gives operators
a genuine feel for the load, while providing smoothness and
precision.
AllG-Series feature theenergy-saving ‘GMode’ tohelpconserve
energy, which includes functions such as Auto Idle Stop, which
shutsdown the engineafter apre-determinedperiodof inactivity.
Models on display will include the 135 tonne capacity
CKE1350G, and250 tonneCKE2500G.
Attachments
The highlight on the Geith stand will be products from the
company’s coupler range.Thesewill be anewmechanical coupler
for 2 to4 tonne compact excavators that allows an attachment to
be picked up and secured in a single movement, with an audio
and two visual alerts confirming safe connection. Release is
simple using the mechanism provided. Geith
said the two further models will follow
during 2015 for 1-2 tonne and 2-6 tonne
machines.
Also on show will be a new coupler
control system that features a simple
