despite economic fluctuations because

InAugust of 2012, Terexpaintedone
of theirT340-1 truck cranes pink for
PhoenixCraneRental located just
outside ofAtlanta. PhoenixCraneRental
is abig supporter of theNational Breast
Cancer Foundation and their pink crane
has beenput to task all over the city for
two years.
It’s this type of partnership that propels
the truck crane industry forward.
What’s new?
“I really enjoy the fact that the crane
business is still apeople business,” said
Curnutte. “We strive to listen and learn
from the folks thatmake a livingwithour
cranes.We typicallyhost over 100 factory
visits each year, andwe really value
customer’s input (both the good and the

Manitowoc’s newest truck crane is the
110-tonTMS9000E. It’s flushwithnew
technology, including features like a
tiltable vision cab, dual axis electronic
controls, hydraulic counterweight
removal system andpowerful luffing
extensions.
TheTMS9000Ehas a 36 to142 foot,
five-section full power boom and a 33
to56 foot bi-fold lattice swing-away
extension, withoptional lattice insert
extensions for a 237-footmaximum tip
height. It offers a 23percent increase
inoverall capacities compared to the
previousmodel.
The crane is being added to fleets all
over the country, includingALLErection
&CraneRental inOhio. According to
ALL’swebsite, “The versatilityof thenew
TMS9000Ehas had an immediate impact
onour truck crane fleet. The 9000’s
on-the-road capabilities, plus its higher
capacity, bridge the gapbetween truck
andAT cranes.”

Terexnowoffers aRoadmaster 5300
in addition to theirRoadmaster 9000.
The 5300 combines a telescopic crane
with a commercial truck. According to
Terex’swebsite, “it’s theperfect solution
when the full off-road capabilityof an all-
terrain crane is not anecessity.”
The truck-mountedRoadmaster is
“a cost-effective solutiondesigned
for frequent and longdistance travel
to ensure that you get the jobdone
efficiently and rapidly. It’s versatile and
easy tooperate as aone-man crane
and is simple to serviceusing easily
available spare parts for low total cost of
ownership.”
