Power comes from either a Tier 3/Stage

IIIA Cat C9 diesel developing 261 kW (350

          hp) or a Tier 4/Stage IIIB Scania DC9 70A

          developing 257 kW (345 hp).

The hydrostatic transmission of the jaw

          chamber provides reversible operation in

the event of a blockage, as well as variable

chamber speed to allow the crusher to

          be tailored for the application.

          It also features hydraulic assist

          Chamber Closed Side Setting (CSS)

          adjustment and can be changed

in just a few minutes, says Finlay.

The J-1170 is fitted with a variable

          speed vibrating grizzly feeder with

          an integrated pre-screen that provides

an aggressive action to separate fines

          material efficiently. This ensures

continuous choke feeding of the crusher

          chamber for optimal productivity.

Material from the pre-screen can be

diverted to a stockpile via an on board by-pass

conveyor, or join the crushed product on the

          main belt.

Meanwhile, the Terex Finlay 684 is

          described as a compact, easily-transportable

machine that offers operators rapid set up and

tear down times. Its new screenbox features

          three full size 4.3 m x 1.7 m (14.1 x 5.6 ft)

inclined decks giving a screening area of 21.9

          m

          2

          (774 ft

          2

          ). The screenbox features quick

wedge tensioning, access holes and bottom

deck hydraulic tensioning system to reduce

          time required for mesh changes.

          All four discharge conveyors hydraulically

fold for transport, providing the operator

with rapid set up and tear down times. A

high performance 1.05 m (3.5 ft) belt feeder

with hydraulic gearbox drive is fitted to the

          machine as standard.

Terex Washing Systems has introduced the

new Aggresand 206 washer. According to the

company, this larger model shares the modular

features of the Aggresand 165 launched in

2013, including ease of transportation and

rapid set-up time. It also comes pre-wired

and pre-plumbed, and with a human machine

interface (HMI) Control System. The official

launch and unveiling of the Aggresand 206

will take place at the Hillhead Show near

          Buxton, UK, in June.

          The 206 uses the Terex 6.1 x 1.8 m (20 x 6

ft) inclined rinser screen and will be available

in two or three deck options. It is designed for

the larger producer looking to increase the

tonnage per hour up to a maximum of 400

          tonnes/hour.

            EXPANDING THE RANGE

Sandvik was another company to showcase

          new crushing and screening equipment,

including its CH550 stationary crusher and

its Q1451 mobile crusher and screener. In

autumn 2013, the company expanded its

mobile crusher portfolio with the introduction

          of the new QS441 and QS331 track-mounted

          cone crushers.

Its QI341 impact crusher is now available

with an optional hanging screen system, and

Sandvik has unveiled the QE141, the latest

            Vegas debut for

            Telsmith T400 cone

Telsmith, part of the Astec group of companies, used

ConExpo to give an official launch for its new high capacity

T400 cone crusher, which it claims offers the largest

clearing stroke and crushing force in its class.

The T400 delivers 300 kW (403 hp) performance

and offers a throughput of between 135 to 545

tonnes per hour. Telsmith says that the new unit has

been engineered for maximum productivity and lower

operating costs, and features a large clearing circuit

          engineered to safely

          and quickly allow uncrushab

          le

materials to pass. This new cone is ideal for tough

mining and quarrying applications, says the company.

          The T400 features a 1.4 m (4.6 ft) receiving hopper,

          replaceable mainframe liners and epoxy-secured

manganese steel crushing members. A single bowl is

used for all liners over its range of operation to minimise

          downtime and reduce inventory costs.

The T400 also features a new and improved patent-pending

anti-spin feature that prevents head spin to extend manganese life

mounted on the top of the machine, as with other key components, to offer easy top service

access. It has been designed to operate with pressure lubricating oil, while not using a

gear box and a separate hydraulic circuit. It has been designed with six cylinders – fewer in

number than that of conventional units – yet offers the largest crushing force available, says

          the company.

            Kleemann’s Mobirex EVO 2 – the company

claims that over four years it has

            consistently developed the EVO series
