The L 580 features a 209 kW diesel
engine and 5 m³ bucket with bolt-on
teeth. Tipping load is 18 tonnes, and the
loaderweighs in at 24.7 tonnes.
LikeotherLiebherr loaders, themachine
features a hydrostatic drive, which the
company says contributes to fuel savings
of 25% compared to some competitors.
Liugong will also showwheeled loaders
atbC India, and theexhibitionwill beone
of the first outings anywhere in theworld
for its newH-series range.
The machines embody a new industrial
design concept from Liugong, and there
aremany other features designed tomake
the loaders easy and safe to operate, service and maintain. For
example, there is step access and a grab rail all the way around
the outside of the cab, and inside the operator’s environment has
alsobeenupgraded.
In thepowered access sectormeanwhile,Haulottewill show the
newHA16RTJ rough terrain articulated boom lift, which offers
a 16mworking height.
Also on showwill be the Star 10 electric vertical mast, which
offers compact dimensions when stowed – 1.99 m high and
0.99mwide – to allow it to bemanoeuvred indoors, but a 10m
working height and360° rotationwhen inuse.
The company’s electric scissor lift range will be represented by
the Chinese-made Optimum 8, while the Quick Up 14 is the
biggestmodel in its push-around lift series.
Ammann’s stand will feature a variety of products from its
road building equipment range, including two asphalt plants,
the UniGlobe 260 S and Eco Batch. Also on show will be a

Cranes India, said thenew craneswill be a
major highlight at the show.
“The new topless Potain cranes are easy
to erect, highly efficient and very reliable
– the three major requirements of crane
users across the country,” he said. “The
two new Potain tower cranes, together
with other displays on our booth, will
show visitors at bC India howwe are true
leaders in lifting.”
TheMCT205has amaximum capacity
of 10 tonnes and can lift 1.75 tonnes
at its maximum jib end of 65 m. It can
be assembled in just four lifts and the
heaviest group of components is just 7.9
tonnes, while the full 65 m jib can be
placed in a single lift.
TheMCT 85meanwhile has a 5 tonne
capacity and can lift 1.1 tonnes at the tip
of its 52m jib. Ease of assembly on site is
a key feature, and to aid this components
like the counter jib and tower head are assembled as a single
component at the Potain factory inPune, India and canbe lifted
as such on site.
Liebherr meanwhile will show new machines from several of
its product lines, including the new 85 EC-B 5i flat-top tower
crane, which is also assembled inPune. With similarperformance
characteristics to Potain’s MCT85, the crane offers a 5 tonne
capacity and1.3 tonne load at the tip of a 50m jib.
Liebherr has focussed on compact dimensions to make the
crane suitable easy to transport and erect in India’s crowded cities.
This is borne-out by the mast section footprint, which is only
1.2m x 1.2m.
Alsoon showwill be anLTM1220-5.2mobile crane, afive-axle
unit that offers a 60 m telescopic boom and 220 tonnes of lift
capacity. A 22m folding jib can be used to take the hook height
to amaximum of 101m, with aworking radius of 88m.
Meanwhile Liebherr’s earthmoving range will be represented
by the L 550 and L580 wheeled loaders, which are made at
the company’s factory in Dalian, China and which are being
introduced to the Indiamarket for the first time.
Liebherr’s 85 EC-B 5i tower crane
has been designed for confined
sites, with tower sections that have
a footprint of just 1.2m x 1.2m.
