INTERMAT
44
Paris launches
pattern and aperture design which the company says improves
the ride qualitywithout compromising strength.
Evonik Industries
will be showcasing its Dynavis hydraulic
fuel systems at Intermat, claiming that its formulas have helped
enhance a wide range of construction machine performance
standards, with significant fuel savings achieved through its use.
Aftermarket supportmanager Rolf Fianke said, “In laboratory
tests and field trials, hydraulic fluids formulated to Dynavis
Technology performance standards have achieved fuel savings
averaging around 5 to 10% versus a conventional monograde
ISO 46 fluid, with some field tests having recorded gains of as
high as 30%.”
Instruments
Topcon
will be showcasing a wide range of its products at this
year’s Intermat show, including its DS-200i, which provides
real-time, touch-screen video and photo imaging to capture
measured positions.
The company has designed the on-board software to be
intuitive even when staking out complex
structures and is said to deliver significant
productivity gains for contractors. Other
innovative releases suchas its3-Dpositioning
system for one-operator layout – the LN-
100W, used for BIM (building information
modelling) – are also on show.
Topcon will also be displaying its range of
next generation of geodetic GNSS reference
receivers and antennas – the NET-G5
receiver andCR-G5-C antenna.
Trimble
will be demonstrating how its
latest Connected Site solutions connect
workers, machines and projects across the
planning, design and construction lifecycle
with its mix of hardware, software and
mobility technologies.
The company said its systems had
been designed to deliver real-time data
to contractors and project stakeholders for
enhanced information about material, people
and asset utilisation, resulting in improved
productivity.
Its connected site solutions are said to create
greater visibility and control across both large
and small projects, helping complete jobs faster,
reducing costs and improving safety and
environmental impact.
Trimble said its Connected Site systemwas
amajor focus for the company at the show.
Instrument manufacturer
Controls
will
have a range of new devices on display.
In the asphalt field it will show the new
75-PV50A15 Pave Analyser, which is a new
generation machine for the full analysis of
asphalt samples. It can determine binder
content and also recover bitumen from
samples to perform other tests.
Meanwhile, the Pavelab Ducti-meter is
for ductility testing on bitumen, while the
T 3500 automatic compactor is designed to
compact samples at a specified effort to allow
tests to be repeatable.
The company also has a new ring and ball
apparatus, the 81-PV0143 for determining the softening point
of bitumen, while the Servopac 76-PV20A02 is an automatic
gyratory compact for asphaltmixes.
New in the company’s cement and concrete portfolio is the
Automax E-Modulus instrument for compression, flexure
and splitting tests on concrete samples. It is supplied with the
‘Datamanager’ software for theperformanceof tests toEuropean
andUS norms.
Meanwhile, Wykeham Farrance, Controls’ soil mechanics
divisionwill show its newAutotriax 2 system for triaxial testing.
This can perform up to six tests at once with maximum cell
pressures of 3.5MPa.
Also on show
American Augers
will debut the new DD-100 horizontal
directional drill, at Intermat, which is available with a Stage
IIOA or Stage IV engine and offers 20,337Nm of torque and
49 tonnes of push/pull force.
At the heart of themachine is a new radial piston thrust drive,
which thecompany says is smooth, quietand responsive, offering
both power in heavy duty applications as well as controllability
when slow speeds are required.
The operators cab has also been updated and pivots to suit
the operator’s needs and preferences for visibility. Also new is a
double joystick control, whichmeans theoperator doesnot have
tomove their hands from the controls tooperate drill functions.
Topconwill present an
intuitive new device for
staking-out work.
Controls’ new
Pave Analyzer for
analysing asphalt
samples.
Trimblewill put an emphasis
on technology around its
connected site initiative.
