Paris launches
Fayat Group’s
foundations equipment
subsidiary,
PTC
will feature new
powerpacks for vibration applications,
such as driving sheet piles.The units now
featureanEcomode,whichautomatically
adjusts engine speed to only supply
the power that is needed, based on soil
conditions. PTC says fuel consumption
can be anywhere from -10% to -35%
lower using this system.
Two newmicro drilling rigs will be on
show from
Soilmec
.The SM-4 has been
designed toperform sectional flight auger
(SFA) bores, and is aimed at theUK andFrenchmarkets.
The second newmachine is the SM-9, amultipurpose drilling
rig in 8 to 9 tonne class. Soilmec said flexibility, low fuel
consumption and high efficiency were the designers’ guidelines
when creating theSM-9.The rig isfittedwith anewdieselDeutz
TCD 4.1 L04 4VTier 4 engine coupled with a new hydraulic
system fromRexroth.
The rig has proportional, hydraulic servo-assisted controls that
are said to make operations smooth. Featuring a load sensing
system, it claims lower running costs and reducedwear and tear
on components.
Doosan Portable Power
said it would launch a number of
new products at the show, including redesigned and Stage
IIIA compliant G40-IIIA and G60-IIIA generators, providing
40 kVA and 60 kVA prime power.
It said the newmodels, which feature optional dual frequency
50/60Hz working mode, are part of the new platform of
generators from Doosan and share a common design with
the G80-IIIA to G200-IIIA models launched over the last
two years.
The manufacturer also plans to launch several new portable
compressors including the Stage IIIA compliant 7/53, Stage IV
compliant 12/154 and 12/254 and 7/125-10/110 Stage IIIB
Dual Mode models (see the compressors feature, page37 for
more details of these launches).
