ACT
SHOW GUIDE
CONEXPO
the latest 35 to 40-ton capacity No Foot
unit with detachable gooseneck. It has a
24 foot platform deck and a loaded deck
height of 20 inches. Lowered cross beams
in the rear frame and at the rear of the
deck allow better loading of excavators
and other equipment. Also on show
is a 60 to 65-ton modular trailer with
interchangeable platform, I-beam and
drop-side decks. The decks attach to the
new Cobra Neck, a multiple ride height
detachable gooseneck.
The Cobra Neck is designed to make
unhooking and delivering safer, faster
and more convenient. It allows increased
ground clearance when necessary,
while saving time that would be spent
in changing ride height settings, the
manufacturer said. It will be available on
all Rogers 55-ton and larger detachable
gooseneck trailers.
TALBERT MANUFACTURING, GOLD LOT 2474
,
is featuring trailers and attachments that
can handle the heavy-duty challenges of
construction and other industries. On
show will be the new 55SA-LD trailer
with its 18-inch loaded deck height
with 3+1 spread axle configurations; the
6-Axle Steer Dolly, which can securely
carry self-supporting superloads; and
the 75-ton 3+3+3 trailer
featuring the new E3Nitro,
which provides heavy haul
versatility. As well, Talbert
will show the 5053TA traveling axle trailer.
The six-axle steer dolly offers versatility,
additional steering control and extra
capacity to handle self-supporting
superloads. The 60-ton capacity dolly is
suitable for everything from heavy, low-
riding materials – such as bridge beams
and steel girders – to tower sections for
wind turbines, the manufacturer said. It
has two groups of three axles with the
axles in each group spaced at 60 inches.
With a bunk between the two groups that
is connected to the rear-axle bearings
through a tie rod system, the total spread
is 16 feet, 1 inch. This configuration
allows operators to carry more weight and
complies with U.S. federal bridge laws, the
manufacturer said.
TRAIL KING, GOLD LOT 1374
, will roll out
several upgrades to its trailer/transport
system line including the Sliding Axle.
Trial King is bringing the Sliding Axle to
a new level this year with the introduction
of the TK80SA and TK110SA Sliding
Axles. This new design will have the
first completed retracted cylinder in
the transport mode. It also has a newly
designed cartridge control module with
electronic button controls for smoother
and more accurate operation.
On display once again will be Trail King’s
newly redesigned Hydraulic Detachable
Gooseneck (HDG) trailer. Long
considered the gold standard of detachable
lowboy trailers, Trail King’s new HDG
features a new gooseneck design and
many other upgrades.
Trail King will also be introducing the
Generation 3, Double Schnable Steering
Dolly system. The Gen 3 system makes
manual steering around a corner and
getting back down the road as easy a
pushing a button, the company said.
This trailer is also lighter, allowing for
increased payloads.
SPECIALIZED LIFTING/
GANTRIES
ENERPAC, SILVER LOT 3749
, will show
and demonstrate its 1,200-ton capacity
SBL1100 hydraulic telescopic gantry
lifting system. This system makes its
U.S. debut as the largest gantry in the
company’s range. This three-stage
system features a boom that can be
folded down for transport. Hydraulics
are self-contained and it can be operated
with the Intellilift radio remote control
system. Also on show is the new Enerpac
EVO synchronous lifting system and the
Enerpac HSL strand jack range. The EVO
will be demonstrated levelling a container
using its computerized control.
SHUTTLELIFT, GOLD LOT 1395
, will be
promoting benefits of its SB series of
rubber-tired gantries. An advantage over
electric overhead travelling cranes is that
the SB series can move payloads through
a factory and outside without having to
switch from one crane to another. It means
more of the factory area can be covered by
a crane and there is less rehandling. While
other types of pick and carry cranes can
also do this, they have issues with capacity
and stability compared to the Shuttlelift SB
Series, according to the manufacturer.
SERVICES, COMPONENTS
& ACCESSORIES
A1A SOFTWARE, GOLD LOT 2853
, will
show its various lift planning and
fleet management software packages,
including its iCraneTrax system. A1A,
in partnership with Link-
Belt, is rolling out a new
telematics program for
Link-Belt cranes that have
Trail King’s newly redesigned Hydraulic Detachable Gooseneck (HDG) trailer will be launched.
Talbert will show the 5053TA
traveling axle trailer.
Rogers will show two new trailers, including
the 35 to 40-ton capacity No Foot unit.
