CONEXPO
SHOW GUIDE
the Link-Belt Pulse operating system. The
new technology, known as Link-Belt Pulse
Telematics Unit (PTU), monitors all of a
crane’s operations, providing upper and
lower engine information, diagnostics,
GPS location, and crane faults, according
to Link-Belt and A1A. Demonstrations
of the system, which can be utilized on
cranes produced by other manufacturers
through iCraneTrax software, will be held
at the A1A booth.
CUMMINS, SOUTH LOT 84808
, is showing
its new, Tier 4 Final-compliant, 63 to 98
kW QSF3.8 engine and the larger, 250 to
382 kW QSG12 models, as well as its after-
treatment technology to help the engines
comply with stringent emissions limits.
Cummins said it will also showcase some
of the first Tier 4 Final ready power packs
in the industry, together with a power
rental trailer.
HBC RADIOMATIC, CENTRAL HALL 52872
,
which specializes in wireless solutions,
will showcase the versatility of HBC
radio controls. HBC innovations on
display include the next generation
of radio controls with color screens;
updated designs for the company’s
classic components; the introduction of
numerous safety and operational features;
and the new video feedback option that
works with two components, including
a robust and compact camera with an
integrated radio module and a new 3.5
inch color display screen that is used to
display live video signals.
HIRSCHMANN, GOLD LOT 2024
, will show
its new qSCALE I2, a load moment
indicator for mobile cranes. The qSCALE
I2 Crane Configuration Tool is designed
to be easy to use and eliminates the need
for programming. The system also has
a simplified calibration procedure and a
superior HMI graphic interface.
Hirschmann MCS will also present a
new monitoring solution for wireless
applications. This solution features 2.4
GHz wireless sensor technology and a
color graphic console that can monitor
up to eight sensors (four wireless and four
hardwired) at one time. These sensors
include load, boom angle, wind speed and
anti-two block.
At
MAGNETEK, SOUTH HALL 81147
,
visitors will be able to test a variety of
the company’s wireless control systems,
including the patented Enrange MHR
Radio Controller, Enrange Flex Pro
transmitter, and the new Enrange Flex
VUE™ transmitter.
Magnetek’s MHR radio controller will
also be on display. The patented MHR
combines the components of a radio
receiver, CAN-bus display module
and hydraulic valve controller into a
convenient single unit, saving money
and freeing up valuable real estate on
the vehicle. When packaged with a
transmitter, it provides a total radio
control system.
LSI-ROBWAY, GOLD LOT 2761
, will show
the latest wireless and cable-based crane
safety instrumentation and asset
monitoring systems, including
the new wireless GS085 Anti-
Two-Block Switch and a line of
wireless Underhook Load Cells.
The lower-cost GS085 Anti-
Two-Block Switch features an impact
resistant, waterproof and UV stabilized
nylon enclosure, with a mechanism life
of more than 250,000 cycles. With a line
of sight range of 4,000 feet. LSI-Robway’s
latest wireless A2B switch utilizes two-
way radio communication with market
leading RF immunity. The GS085 also
features simple battery change capabilities,
with three to four-year battery life from
one lithium D-cell battery. An operating
temperature range of -40º F – 150º F
means that this anti-two-block switch is
field-ready in a multitude of environments
worldwide.
The latest Underhook Load Cells from
LSI-Robway are made from a durable
aluminum, designed to be lightweight for
easier portability and very cost-effective
to appeal to a wide market. Ideal for all
applications in the lifting industry, these
load cells ship pre-calibrated with an
accuracy of +/- 1 percent of the working
load limit. Available in a range of 27,500
pounds to 1.1 million pounds, the largest
standard Underhook Load Cell has a
higher capacity than any other wireless
weighing sensors offered by LSI-Robway.
