COMPACT CRUSHING
provide a large loading area while a 150 mm
(6 inch) wider feed opening allows free flow
of material and a high volume capacity. The
516RT’s optimal fully enclosed fines flashing
minimises potential material spillage while
the rubber belting extending along the length
of the machine reduces blockages, even if the
material being processed is wet and sticky.
The 1.5 by 4.8 m (5 by 16 ft) screening
surface allows material such as topsoil,
compost, sand and gravel, and wood to spend
more time in the drum for improved results.
The three screen sections allows flexibility
in sizing for maximised productivity and,
for heavy duty applications, a remote control
hydraulic tipping grizzly can be added to scalp
off large material. Ground adjustable brushes
keep the screen clean and rotate away from
the drum to make drum changes easier.
CRUSHING BUCKETS
At Italian-based MB, the company said that
2013 began with two innovations in the form
of two launches that completed the range of
MB products – the MB-S10 screening bucket
and the MB-C50 crusher bucket. Small,
compact and light, they are suitable for midi
excavators from 4 to 8 tonnes.
The new MB-S10 screening bucket weighs
445 kg (979 lb) and has a capacity of 0.6m
3
(21.2 ft
3
). Developed using the same materials
Lancashire Crushers took delivery of its first Anaconda TR516 from England and Wales distributor Anaconda
UK to address customer requests for a drum screen capable of producing high volumes of waste material
across a wide range of applications and now has three units out on hire full time.
According to owner Peter Slater: “For such a compact machine, the performance is very impressive and it
is extremely easy to operate. The size also means it is very easy to move around the country so it is ideal for
our type of business.”
Remu’s Combi E8 can be used to
screen a range of input materials
SMI’s wireless remote-controlled conveyor
and the same technology as the existing MB
screening buckets, the MB-S10 is said to be
easy to transport and is manoeuvrable.
The latest addition, the MB-C50, is the
smallest in the MB crusher bucket range. Also
small and light, the new MB-C50 is said to cut
down on processing costs and times, and to
eliminate needless transportation costs. MB
said it was the only holder of the double jaw
movement patent. The new crusher bucket
weighs 750 kg (1,650 lb) and has a loading
capacity of 0.25m
3
(8.8 ft
3
).
Remu has launched the Combi E8
mobile screen, which it says can be used for
processing a variety of materials. It features a
wider 950 mm (38 inch) screening table and a
new 2.6 m (8.5 ft) feeder unit and, depending
on the configuration of the screening element,
the blade spacing can be from 15 to 100 mm
(06 to 4 inches). Both conveyors can be folded
for transport.
Power for the new machine comes from a
Cat C4.4 diesel delivering 61 kW (82 hp), and
it features a large engine bay and double doors
to give easy access to service points. According
to Remu, the structure of the Combi E8 is
very compact but it can deliver a maximum
throughput of 300 m/hour (985 ft/hour)
According to Screen Machine Industries
(SMI), its 0.9 x 18.3 m (3 x 60 ft) track-
mounted portable stacking conveyor will
“revolutionise the conveyor industry”. A
wireless remote-controlled conveyor, it has
a counterweighted design combined with a
heavy-duty channel frame build. SMI said its
hydraulic top fold and cylinder positioning
made jobsite-to-jobsite transportation and
set-up quick and effortless.
