42ndAnnual Convention andExpo,
Demolition2015, came to a close on
Tuesday,March24 after four days of creating
valuable connectionswithin thedemolition
industry.More than1,100 attendees and84
exhibitors gathered inNashville, Tennessee, to
network, learn and celebrate accomplishments
indemolition.
TheNDAunderwentmajor changes
in2014 and thepositive response to its
first big event,Demolition2015, has been
overwhelming. “Itwas great to see the turn
out and support of theNDAmembership at
Demolition2015.” statednewNDABoard
president, PeterBanks. “Everything from
the education session to the expansiveExpo
demonstrated theprogress of thedemolition
industry andour contribution to the
profession.”
Demolition2015highlightedNDA’s
strong focus on industry education thatwas
reflected in the conventionprogramme. The
educationofferings provided an in-depth
look at thedemolition industry’smost
pressing topic, including safety andhealth
standards, environmental requirements
andopportunities, workforce issues and
management andgovernment project
management.
The additionof 'Fast&Furious' education
sessions proved tobe standing roomonly
events, compacting valuable lessons from
industry thought leaders into15minute
presentations that fitted thepace of the
convention.
As always, theExpo atDemolition2015
was amajor draw for attendees. TheExpo
sawhigh traffic on all threedays itwas open
and attendeeswere able to test newproducts
and advances in technology from companies
such asVolvoConstructionEquipment
NorthAmerica, AllAmericanRecycling, and
CompanyWrench.
Many attendees recognised that itwas an
added value tomeet thenewNDA leadership
whileonsite inNashville.WithDemolition
2015behind them, theNDA team is focused
onplanningDemolition2016 and continuing
the success of thepremier industrymeeting.
