CONEXPO
SHOW GUIDE
Kobelco’s cranes are designed based on
end-user input and jobsite experiences,
and incorporate transport, assembly
and operator-friendly concepts. Specific
to Kobelco cranes are nested booms
for easier transport and a footprint
smaller than other cranes for better
maneuverability.
The focus for Kobelco is its G-Series,
which is engineered with “G Mode” to
help conserve energy. The winch in this
series allows for maximum speed even at
low idle, saving energy. The Auto Idle Stop
feature stops the engine when the crane
is stopped, which lowers emissions. The
G-Series’ new Interim Tier IV clean diesel
engine, which complies with EPA Interim
standards, reduces fuel consumption by
30 percent. The Kobelco stand will feature
three models: 110-ton capacity CK1100G;
160-ton capacity CK1600G; and 275-ton
CK2750G.
Maximum boom length on the CK1100G
is 200 feet, its fixed jib offers a capacity
of 24,000 pounds, and the maximum
combination boom length is 250 feet.
Power is from a 285 hp Hino diesel. Main
and auxiliary winches have a maximum
line speed of 390 feet per minute, and a
rated single-line pull of 46,800 pounds-
feet.
The main boom on the Kobelco
CK1600G is 250 feet long, and
the maximum main boom and jib
combination is 300 feet. The nested boom
on the CK2750G can be configured from
50 to 300 feet. Its fixed jib offers a capacity
of 373,400 pounds, and has a maximum

ready to make a deal.
With the March issue of
American
Cranes & Transport
we’ve attempted to
give our readers the scoop on what to
see and where to go while at ConExpo.
As well, this section was designed to give
those who stay at home a preview of the
cranes, trailers, software, components and
related that will be on display.
While this is no means an exhaustive
guide, it’s pretty extensive. Several
manufacturers are keeping their new
model launches a surprise until the show
opens, which means we will feature lots
more coverage of ConExpo in subsequent
issues.
Our ConExpo Show Guide is organized
by type of equipment and/or services.
In the boxed copy panels starting on
page 52, you will find an alphabetical
listing with booth numbers and location
of all the crane, rigging and specialized
transportation-related companies that you
will likely want to visit.
Jack Fendrick, president of Kobelco
Cranes, said he is expecting ConExpo to
have a big turnout.
“I believe that the show will be full of
optimism,” he said.

Because Kobelco
only manufactures and supports crawler
cranes, its singular focus is unique in
the crane world, allowing the company
to forge relationships with owners that
go beyond the norm, Fendrick said.
