Irish couplermanufacturerGeithhas
launched anew control system for its
hydraulic couplers.Geith said thenew system
offered a simple and safeoperating sequence
andwas compliantwith IP65 andCE safety
requirements (ISO13031).Other facilities
include abypass button allowingoperators to
removeparticular attachments such as pallet
forkswithout having to curl in the coupler to
release the attachment.
The control system can alsobeused to
power LEDwarningbeacons and audio
devices for additional safety features. Thenew
compact control box comes completewith a
wiringharness for plug-and-play installation.
Theunit,mountingbracket andwiring
harnesswill nowbe supplied as standard in all
full hydraulichose kits.

Ardenhas introduced anewmulti
processor formini excavators in the shape of
theCU007 intended for use on carriers from

VTN has introduced the VTN CI 4000, a
4,000 kg (8,800lb) scrap shear intended
for use on carriers weighing from25 to
45 tonnes, depending on themounting
position on the dipper ormain boom. It
features a new bolt-on tip intended to
reduce replacement andmaintenance
time and cost, and has an internal brake
system to provide greater resistance and
longer service life. It also features an
alignment guide on the jaws and a new
blade design with a revised shape and
dimensions to allow four interchanges prior
to replacement. The rhomboidal profile of
the blade also improves cutting ability and
reduces stress on the shear, and a deeper
mouth and redesigned cutting angle also
increase performance by providing a strong
grip and easy release of material being cut.
The CI 4000 is fitted with a high
performance hydraulic cylinder to provide
effective cutting performance that is
reversemounted, meaning that the rod
is completely protected from any possible
impact or damage, and a speed valve
reduces cycle time and substantially
improves productivity. The CI 4000 provides
360 degree rotation with the hydraulic
motor positioned on the top of the shear,
and it is equipped with protection valves and
flow regulators.
GB Industries have introduced a fivemodel range
of mini crushers that, according to the company,
have been designedwith a lightweight structure
for operating stability, offer powerful crushing
forcewith rapid single cylinder operation and
are abrasion resistant andmanufactured using
high strengthmaterials. The 105 kg (230 lb)
GBMC010R is intended for 0.7-2 tonne carriers,
the 180 kg (395 lb) GBMC020R is for 1.5-3 tonne
machines, the 357 kg (785 lb) GBMC030R-S is for
2.5-5 tonnemachines and the 480 kg (1,056 lb)
GBMC050H-SF and GBMC050H-SH that are both
for 4.5-8 tonne carriers.

says is geometricallyoptimised to allowbetter
penetration and a 20% increase in lifespan. A
variant that allows a finer size ofmaterial to
beprocessed is available as anoption.
